Welcome to SANCID
The South African National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (SANCID) represents South Africa at the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID). ( http://www.icid.org).
SANCID is as widely representative with members deriving from governmental, quasi-governmental, private business organisations as well as learned societies, SANCID members arise from disciplines involved in various facets of irrigation, water, drainage and flood control.
New Delhi-based ICID has members from over 100 countries around the world and was established in 1950. ICID’s president is South Africa’s Felix Reinders.
SANCID became a member of ICID in 1992.
